RV Park Review – Pine Hollow Campground, Pownal, VT

August 5, 2016 - by Michael

Pine Hollow Campground in Pownal, VT was just a one night stop on our way to Maine. The surrounding area seemed like it had a lot to offer. We wish we would have been able to stay a little longer. Even though it was a bit cloudy and foggy on our trip through the mountains, the scenery was beautiful. We arrived at the campground in the evening and got checked in at the office. The owner took our payment and was nice enough give us some dinner recommendations.

The grounds are very well kept and feature a pond with fountain, bathrooms, showers, and large gravel parking spaces. Our assigned spot was easy to back in to. Even though we had a little bit of rain, we got set up for the night and were quickly on our way to dinner at Madison Brewing Company in the nearby town of Bennington, VT. The next morning we packed the trailer back up and got ready to leave. Since we didn’t hook up our sewer lines, we took advantage of their clean shower house right before we hit the road. Although we just had one night at this campground, we would recommend it, and would go back if we ever were in that neck of the woods again.
