We sold our house after a total of 6 days on the market! I can’t believe that it happened so quickly, and we were able to get our full asking price! We have been waiting to post about it until all the inspections and financing approval were complete, but now it’s official – we closed on Tuesday!
This last month and a half has been more than crazy! In the short amount of time since our house went under contract, we bought a truck and travel trailer, sold many of our belongings on Craigslist and many more at our moving sale, and changed our residency to my parents’ house in central Illinois, and figured out all the logistics to get set up for fulltime RV life.
Last weekend, we moved our remaining belongings that wouldn’t fit in the RV up to my parents’ house. Our goal was to keep as little as possible. While some things were a bit difficult to let go of, I think both of us found the process to be freeing. We are super grateful to my parents for allowing us to keep some stuff at their house and letting us send all of our mail there. (Thanks Mom and Dad!)
Now that we are all set up at our first RV park, the reality is starting to set in – we no longer have a brick and mortar home and have started our migratory life!
