We had our first over night guests in our RV June 10 – 12. Which means that I am a little behind on writing this, but better late than never, right?
My cousins, Jessie and Amy Jo, got to St. Louis late that Friday night. The RV was a little tight with four people sleeping in it, but it really wasn’t too bad. We let our guests sleep in our bed while we slept in the living room. The couch folds down flat for a air mattress, which is stored under it, to go on top. In the morning, we simply deflated the air mattress and folded the couch back up, and we were good to go.
The four of us packed so fun St. Louis fun into just a day and a half! Saturday, we headed to Forest Park and ate lunch at The Boat House. Then, we rented paddle boats and spent some time out on the water. After our time at Forest Park, we went back to the RV park. Amy Jo, Jessie, and I popped open some wine and hung out at the pool, while Mike enjoyed a nap before joining us. That night, we had a few drinks at the International Tap House in Soulard while we waited for a table at Mission Taco. After dinner, we explored City Museum (a must-do for anyone visiting St. Louis). Mike and I had never been up on the rooftop, so we enjoyed the ferris wheel ride with great views of the city. Sunday morning, we had breakfast at Rooster on South Grand before walking around the Missouri Botanical Gardens. We finished our time together with some frozen custard at Ted Drews, a St. Louis staple.
Like I said, so much fun in such a short amount of time. I’m so happy they came! Not only did we get to hang out with family before heading out, we also got do some activities in St. Louis – some that we had never done before!
